Baltimore Link
BaltimoreLink is a complete overhaul and rebranding of the core transit system operating within the city and throughout the greater Baltimore region. There are many stops for several different lines that run throughout the neighborhood.
Charm City Circulator
The Charm City Circulator is a privately funded, public transit shuttle bus service giving riders connection to historic sites, parking, and businesses throughout downtown Baltimore for free. In Mount Vernon, the Purple Route services Charles and St. Paul Streets.
Bolt Bus
Travel to NYC and DC has never been more affordable. Bolt Bus has several routine trips daily to and from NYC and DC. The Bolt Bus stop is located on the Maryland Avenue Bridge, just North of Mount Royal Avenue.

Amtrak
From Penn Station, at the North end of Mount Vernon, you can easily take Amtrak to many destinations along the East Coast and beyond.
Marc Commuter
Leaving from Penn Station, the Penn Line is a MARC commuter rail line running from Union Station, Washington D.C. to Perryville, Maryland via Penn Station, Baltimore, Maryland on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor. It is MARC’s busiest and only electric line.
Light RailLink
Along Howard Street on the neighborhood’s Western edge, the Light RailLink is an easy and cost effective way to traverse the city. With stops leading to Hunt Valley and Penn Station to the North and BWI Airport and Glen Burnie to the South, the Light RailLink is an easy alternative to driving.

Zip Car
With nearly a dozen locations throughout Mount Vernon, Zipcar is one of the easiest resources for renting a car for an hour or a day.
Maven
One of the newest car rental companies to the neighborhood, Maven has several convenient locations to pick up a car for a quick spin.
Uber
In Mount Vernon, you never have to wait long for an Uber to shop up and chauffeur you to your next location.
Parking
Parking Permits
Parking in Mount Vernon can be a bit tricky from time to time. Area 28 Residential Parking Permits (RPP) are available for residents in most of Mount Vernon. Area 28 permits renew each September. Area 13 RPP covers a small section around Tyson Street on the Western side of the neighborhood. Area 13 permits renew each November. Baltimore Bike Share is a bicycle sharing system in the city of Baltimore. The system has more than 50 stations spread across the city.

Bikemore is an advocacy group who works to expand protected bicycle infrastructure between neighborhoods in Baltimore City.
