Dog Park

The MVBA Dog Park Committee works with the City to identify potential locations for future dog parks in the Mount Vernon area as well as raise funds for building new dog parks once locations have been identified and help organize residents in maintaining the dog parks, once built.

In 2016, the Dog Park Committee was successful in building and opening Mount Vernon’s first dedicated dog park, Howard’s Park Dog Park at 310 West Centre Street at the intersection of Howard and Centre Streets. Throughout the year, the committee organizes special events for the neighborhood pups.
